I’m getting set to make my annual pilgrimage to Augusta for the 2009 Masters this week and figured I will actually head into this year’s first major with a few goals. Here is my list of Ten things I want to accomplish at The Masters.10 – Have at least 1 Pimento Cheese sandwich. This will be easily accomplished.
9 – Take in some of the Par 3 Contest. Awesome little course and very real chance of seeing a hole in one.
8 – Watch players try to skip their shots across the pond and onto the green of #16 during Wednesday’s practice round.
7 – Watch Spaniard Alvaro Quiros hit drivers on the practice range to get a first hand glimpse off his much talked about power.
6 – Shoot video of Fred Couples teeing of on #18. Great swing and great backdrop! Something I could put on a loop and sit and watch over and over.
5 – Secure the perfect spot for my chair on the hillside of the par 3, 16th.
4 – Be at the first tee Thursday to witness Greg Norman’s return to Augusta.
3 – Be at the final green Friday to watch Fuzzy Zoeller hole out his last putt and say farewell to Augusta. (Sorry Fuzz, but I’m anticipating you missing the cut)
2 – Enjoy a beer while watching Tiger play through Amen Corner.
1 – Be part of an “Augusta Roar”

The Open is not a bad thing to have to; as you say “make do with”. I was lucky enough to attend The Open at St Andrews in 1984 – Seve was the champion golfer that year.
