John Daly was reported to be hospitalized in Munich Germany yesterday with a gastrointestinal virus.  Daly who is in Germany for the BMW International was forced to withdraw from the tournament and is likely to remain in hospital while doctors perform a few tests to determine if he is well enough to fly home to the United States.

The PGA Tour rolls into Boston Massachusetts this week for the Deutsche Bank Championship, the first event of the 2006 Fall Finish. Olin Browne will try to defend his title at the TPC Boston as Tiger Woods tries for his 5th consecutive victory.

The Champions Tour is on the west coast for this weeks Wal-Mart First Tee Open played at Pebble Beach in Monterey California.

The Nationwide Tour is in Highland Heights, just outside of Cleveland Ohio for the Legends Financial Group Classic being played at the Stonewater Golf Club.

The LPGA Tour will be in Springfield Illinois at The Rail Golf Course for the State Farm Classic

And the Canadian Tour will be in Barrie Ontario for their inaugural Canadian Tour Championship, the season ending event at the Highlands Golf Club at the Horseshoe Resort.

Just as the PGA Championship was pivotal for a number of the US players seeking a last chance at points to make the US Ryder Cup Team, so is the BMW International taking place this week in Munich Germany for the Euro Squad.  Team Captain Ian Woosnam has seven of his twelve players set by way of points, leaving 3 spots and 2 captains choices still up for grabs..

  • Tiger Woods tops Stuart Cink on the 4th hole of a playoff to win his 4th consecutive tournament. The victory completed a successful title defense for Woods, who has now won a total of six events in 2006. On the tenth year anniversary of his “Hello World” speech Tiger proved once again that he practically owns Firestone Country Club, where he has won five of the last eight events played there.
